What is a Urine drug test?
Urine drug tests and Pee drug tests are the common means to determine the concentration of drug in an individual’s body. These tests are carried out using urine cups or pee cups. The Sample is taken in these test cups. It is then subjected to gas chromatography, mass spectrometry and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to determine even the minute concentrations of drugs such as opioids, narcotics, barbiturates, antipsychotics, and CNS Stimulants. These techniques can measure up to Nano-grams per milliliters of a drug in the blood.
